Anto ITR Capsule is a combination medicine used to treat acidity, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.

Anto ITR Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Pantoprazole and Itopride. Pantoprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called the gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid. Itopride works by accelerating gastric emptying and improving gastric sensitivity and tension. It also has anti-emetic action. Together, Anto ITR Capsule helps in preventing acid reflux, thereby providing relief from acidity.

You are advised to take Anto ITR Capsule as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking Anto ITR Capsule if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical perforation/obstruction, or movement disorder. On long-term treatment, Anto ITR Capsule may cause osteoporosis and hypomagnesemia (low levels of magnesium). Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Anto ITR Capsule may cause drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Anto ITR Capsule should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Anto ITR Capsule as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid.

Anto ITR Capsule is used in the treatment of hyperacidity, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and peptic ulcer. The detailed uses of Anto ITR Capsule are as follows:

• Hyperacidity: Anto ITR Capsule works by reducing excessive stomach acid production, providing relief from symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, and stomach discomfort.
• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Anto ITR Capsule helps manage acid reflux by lowering acid levels, thereby reducing regurgitation, irritation of the oesophagus, and difficulty swallowing.
• Peptic ulcer: Anto ITR Capsule promotes healing of stomach and intestinal ulcers by decreasing acid secretion and preventing further damage to the ulcerated tissues.

• Take Anto ITR Capsule 30-60 minutes before food or as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Swallow Anto ITR Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Anto ITR Capsule is a combination of two drugs: Pantoprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Itopride (a prokinetic agent). Together, they provide the following medicinal benefits:

• Do not use Anto ITR Capsule if you are allergic to Pantoprazole, Itopride, or any ingredient in the medicine. Seek immediate medical help if you experience symptoms of an allergic reaction such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
• Inform your doctor about any history of gastrointestinal bleeding, stomach or intestinal perforation, bowel obstruction, movement disorders (such as Parkinson's disease), liver or kidney problems, autoimmune conditions (such as lupus), or electrolyte imbalances. Also, provide a complete list of all medications you are taking, as Anto ITR Capsule may interact with certain drugs or require dose adjustments.
• Long-term use of Pantoprazole (typically beyond 3–12 months) may cause low magnesium levels, leading to tremors, muscle cramps, seizures, or abnormal heart rhythms. Periodic magnesium level monitoring is advised.
• Prolonged use of proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole (≥ 1 year) may increase the risk of bone fractures, particularly in the hip, wrist, or spine. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest required duration.
• Extended use may reduce absorption of vitamin B₁₂, calcium, and iron, and may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections (Clostridioides difficile), pneumonia, or formation of stomach polyps.
• Report any unusual symptoms such as joint pain, persistent rash, fever, or dark-colored urine, as these may indicate rare but serious side effects such as kidney inflammation or lupus-like reactions.
• Consult your doctor before using Anto ITR Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as safety data are limited. Use in children has not been established and is generally not recommended.
