Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's belongs to the group of anti-cancer medicines called demethylation agents indicated for continued treatment of acute myeloid leukaemia in adults who improved after chemotherapy but could not complete intensive curative therapy. Acute myeloid leukaemia is a type of cancer that forms in the blood-forming cells of the bone marrow.

Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's contains Azacitidine, which works by interfering with the growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed by the body. It helps the bone marrow in the production of normal blood cells and kills abnormal cells in the bone marrow.

In some cases, Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, fatigue and abdominal pain. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

• Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS): Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's is used to treat all subtypes of MDS, a group of disorders where the bone marrow produces poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells, leading to anaemia, infections, or bleeding.
• Acute myeloid leukemia (AML): Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's is used in patients with AML who are not eligible for stem cell transplantation. It helps reduce the number of abnormal blood cells and promotes the production of healthy ones.

• Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's can be taken with or without food, as food does not affect its absorption or effectiveness.
• Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's is usually taken once daily; however, follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not break, crush or chew Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's.

Do not take Azadual 300 mg Tablet 7's if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney problems. Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms of neutropenia/low white blood cells (fever or chills, feeling very tired or weak, body aches, and unusual headache) or thrombocytopenia/low platelet count (unusual bleeding or bruising).
