About BETAMIL N OINTMENT
BETAMIL N OINTMENT is used to treat various bacterial skin infections. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria penetrate through hair follicles or broken skin and cause infection.

BETAMIL N OINTMENT is a dermatological medicine used to treat various bacterial skin infections.
BETAMIL N OINTMENT consists of Neomycin and Betamethasone. Neomycin prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Betamethasone works by blocking prostaglandins production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy.
BETAMIL N OINTMENT is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If BETAMIL N OINTMENT gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with water. Do not put a bandage or a dressing on the affected area while using BETAMIL N OINTMENT unless advised by the doctor. Do not apply BETAMIL N OINTMENT on sunburns, open wounds, lesions and blisters.
Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of BETAMIL N OINTMENT based on the severity of your infection. It is advised to use BETAMIL N OINTMENT only for the prescribed period since long-term usage of BETAMIL N OINTMENT may cause increased hair growth and weakening and thinning of the skin.
BETAMIL N OINTMENT is not recommended for use in diaper rash. Please use BETAMIL N OINTMENT under medical guidance if you have pituitary gland diseases, dehydration problems, chronic leg ulcers, cataract or glaucoma, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, hearing problems (ototoxicity), osteoporosis, muscle weakness, liver/kidney diseases, and Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels).
BETAMIL N OINTMENT is not recommended for use in acne treatment. It is also advised not to use BETAMIL N OINTMENT for a rash around the mouth (perioral dermatitis), viral skin infections, itching of genital and anal skin, yeast infections, and rosacea (small, red, pus-filled bumps on the face). Please seek a doctor's advice if you have any of these conditions.
BETAMIL N OINTMENT should be used with other topical medicines only if advised by the doctor. However, you are advised to maintain at least a three-hour gap between BETAMIL N OINTMENT and other topical medicine.
