Bishenz Tablet 8's is primarily used to treat peptic ulcer, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Helicobacter pylori infection. GERD occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.
Bishenz Tablet 8's contains Tripotassium dicitrato bismuthate. It is known to increase mucosal prostaglandin secretion, which inhibits gastric acid secretion.
Common side effects of Bishenz Tablet 8's include headache, diarrhoea, black faeces, mild dizziness, and belching. These side effects may not occur in every patient using this medication and may vary by individual. If the side effects persist longer or worsen, please seek a doctor’s advice.

Bishenz Tablet 8's contains Tripotassium dicitrato bismuthate that works by forming a protective coating against ulcer formation. It also has a bactericidal action against Helicobacter pylori that causes gastritis and peptic ulcers. Thus, Bishenz Tablet 8's relieves stomach ulcers, heartburn, GERD, and other gastrointestinal discomforts.
Bishenz Tablet 8's is usually not recommended for longer durations. Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Bishenz Tablet 8's for 4 to 8 weeks. Do not take Bishenz Tablet 8's for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. While being treated with Bishenz Tablet 8's, a regular check-up is advised.
Antacids may interfere with the absorption of Bishenz Tablet 8's. It is advised to take antacid and Bishenz Tablet 8's with a gap of 30 minutes. Please seek medical advice on how to use other medicines like antacids while using Bishenz Tablet 8's.

Concomitant (simultaneous) use of milk with Bishenz Tablet 8's is not recommended. It is advised to not take milk within 30 minutes before or after administration of Bishenz Tablet 8's.
