Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of alpha-adrenergic agonists, used alone or in combination with other medicines to lower increased eye pressure in conditions such as ocular hypertension and glaucoma. Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged. This damaged nerve leads to an increase in eye pressure abnormally and can lead to permanent vision loss.

Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml contains Brimonidine that works by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye). Thereby, Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml helps in reducing eye pressure.

The detailed uses of Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml are as follows:<br/>• Glaucoma Treatment: Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml reduces intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma, slowing disease progression and preserving vision.<br/>• Ocular Hypertension: Brimonid LS 0.1% Eye Drops 5 ml lowers IOP in patients with ocular hypertension, helping to prevent vision loss, manage eye health, and reduce the risk of glaucoma development.<br/>

Directions for Use

Eye drops: Shake the bottle well before each use. Instil the eye drops by pulling down the lower eyelid to form a pocket between eyelid and eye.Eye gel: Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket between eyelid and eye, squeeze a tiny amount of gel into the eye.

  • Avoid exercises such as any position where the head is lower than the body as an inverted yoga pose, as it may increase pressure in the eye. Doing selective exercises is advised for glaucoma patients.
