Fungal infection occurs when a fungus invades and affects the tissue on the skin.  Symptoms of a fungal infection include skin rash, irritation, redness and scaling of the skin. 

Candidac-B Lotion 20 ml is composed of two medicines: Clotrimazole (antifungal) and Beclomethasone (steroid). Clotrimazole stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Beclomethasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Thereby, Candidac-B Lotion 20 ml helps treat fungal infections.

Candidac-B Lotion 20 ml is for topical (for skin) use only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with cold water. Candidac-B Lotion 20 ml may cause common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, consult your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Clotrimazole, Beclomethasone or any other medications. Do not put a dressing or bandage on the affected area since it increases the risk of side effects. Prolonged use of Candidac-B Lotion 20 ml may cause hormonal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia (increased blood sugar level), and glucosuria (high sugar in urine) in some patients.
