About Carisoma Compound Tablet

Carisoma Compound Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve pain due to muscle spasms, headache, migraine, rheumatic pain, backache, and menstrual period pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasms are involuntary contractions of the muscle that can be painful.
 
Carisoma Compound Tablet contains Carisoprodol (muscle relaxant), Caffeine (brain stimulant), and Paracetamol (mild analgesic and fever reducer). Carisoprodol acts on the brain and spinal cord centres where it inhibits the multisynaptic reflex involved in muscle spasms, thereby relieving skeletal muscle spasms. Paracetamol works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins which are responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol and also acts as a central nervous system stimulant. Together, Carisoma Compound Tablet helps in relieving pain and fever due to muscle spasms.
 
You are advised to take Carisoma Compound Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, irritability, and nervousness. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Carisoma Compound Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Carisoprodol, Caffeine, and Paracetamol. Carisoma Compound Tablet is used to relieve pain due to muscle spasms, headache, migraine, rheumatic pain, backache, and period pain. Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant that acts on the brain and spinal cord centres where it inhibits the multisynaptic reflex involved in muscle spasms, thereby providing relief from skeletal muscle spasms. Paracetamol is an analgesic that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation. Caffeine belongs to the class of medicines called methylxanthine, which increases the effectiveness of paracetamol. Together, Carisoma Compound Tablet helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms. 

How Carisoma Compound Tablet Works

Carisoma Compound Tablet contains Carisoprodol (muscle relaxant), Caffeine (brain stimulant), and Paracetamol (mild analgesic and fever reducer). Side effects of Carisoma Compound Tablet
Here are the steps to cope with constipation as a side effect of medication:
  • Inform your doctor about your constipation symptoms. They may adjust your medication or advise alternative treatments.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking sufficient of water (at least 8-10 glasses a day) to help soften stool and promote bowel movements.
  • Increase fibre intake by eating foods high in fibre, such as fruits, whole grains, vegetables and legumes, to help bulk up the stool.
  • Establish a bowel routine by trying to go to the bathroom at the same time each day to train your bowels.
  • Engaging in regular exercise, like walking or yoga, can support in bowel movement stimulation.
  • Consult your doctor if constipation persists, and discuss alternative treatments or adjustments to your medication.
Overcome Medication-Induced Nausea: A 9-Step Plan
  • Inform your doctor about the nausea and discuss possible alternatives to the medication or adjustments to the dosage.
  • Divide your daily food intake into smaller, more frequent meals to reduce nausea.

What if I have taken an overdose of Carisoma Compound Tablet

Do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. If you suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Do not take Carisoma Compound Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Carisoma Compound Tablet contains paracetamol, do not take any other products containing paracetamol along with Carisoma Compound Tablet unless prescribed. Inform your doctor if you have porphyria, epilepsy, stomach ulcer, alcoholism, heart, kidney, or liver impairment. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant. Avoid taking Carisoma Compound Tablet if you are breastfeeding. Carisoma Compound Tablet is not recommended for children below 16 years as safety has not been established.
