Carpigrel Tablet is used for the prevention of heart attack or stroke in people at high risk of heart disease. It contains Clopidogrel, which helps in preventing the formation of harmful blood clots (plaque) in your veins. It makes your blood flow easily through your veins, making it less likely to form a serious blood clot. So, it helps prevent blood clots if you have an increased risk of having severe chest pain (unstable angina or heart attack), stroke, or peripheral arterial disease (heart problem due to narrowed blood vessels). In some cases, you may experience side effects such as nosebleeds, heavier periods, bleeding gums, easy bruising, diarrhoea, stomach pain, indigestion, or heartburn. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.
