About Coldpar Tablet

Coldpar Tablet is used to treat symptoms of the common cold and allergies like sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, fever, headache, body pains, congestion, or watery eyes. The common cold is a respiratory illness affecting the nose and throat.

Coldpar Tablet is a combination of Paracetamol, Phenylephrine and Chlorpheniramine. Paracetamol inhibits the production of prostaglandins. Phenylephrine works by shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal passage. Chlorpheniramine blocks the action of histamine, which is responsible for causing allergic reactions.

Coldpar Tablet may cause common side effects such as drowsiness, nervousness, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, constipation, and dry mouth. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If your child is allergic to Coldpar Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Please do not give more than the prescribed dose of Coldpar Tablet to your child as it may cause severe liver damage or allergic reactions.

How Coldpar Tablet Works

Coldpar Tablet is a combination of three drugs: Paracetamol (mild analgesic and antipyretic), Phenylephrine hydrochloride (decongestant), and Chlorpheniramine maleate (antihistamine/antiallergic). • ParacetamoL works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as prostaglandins, which are responsible for pain and fever. • Phenylephrine hydrochloride works by shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal passage. Thereby providing relief from congestion and decreasing excess mucus production. • Chlorpheniramine maleate works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. It helps to provide relief from symptoms of allergy.

What if I have taken an overdose of Coldpar Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Coldpar Tablet may include confusion, loss of appetite, nausea, pain in your upper stomach, dark urine, yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes, stomach pain, sweating, vomiting, and weakness. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

If your child is allergic to Coldpar Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
Please do not give more than the prescribed dose of Coldpar Tablet to your child as it may cause serious liver damage or allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, mouth, and throat, difficulty in breathing, itching or rash.
If your child has chronic bronchitis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), blockage in the stomach or intestines, pheochromocytoma (tumour in the adrenal glands), kidney, liver, heart or urinary problems, inform your doctor.
