How COLTRO AS 75MG CAPSULES Works

COLTRO AS 75MG CAPSULES contains rosuvastatin and aspirin, which work together to help protect the heart and blood vessels. Rosuvastatin is a statin that works by blocking an enzyme involved in cholesterol production in the liver. This reduces the amount of cholesterol the liver makes and increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells, allowing more 'bad' LDL cholesterol to be removed from the bloodstream. As a result, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels fall, helping slow the buildup of fatty deposits in the blood vessels. Aspirin is an antiplatelet medicine that works by preventing platelets from sticking together to form blood clots. This helps maintain smooth blood flow through narrowed blood vessels and reduces the risk of clots that can lead to a heart attack or stroke. Together, these actions help improve cholesterol levels, reduce the progression of plaque buildup, and lower the risk of cardiovascular events.
