About Cortwell-MC Cream
Cortwell-MC Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy red patches covered with white scales), and dermatoses (lesions or eruptions of the skin).
Cortwell-MC Cream is composed of Mometasone furoate and Clotrimazole. Mometasone furoate blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole stops the growth of fungi by damaging and leaking the fungal cell membrane.
Cortwell-MC Cream has common side effects, such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, please reach out to your doctor.
Cortwell-MC Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. Let your doctor know if you have any allergic reactions to Cortwell-MC Cream or other medications. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before starting Cortwell-MC Cream. Cortwell-MC Cream is not recommended for children below two years of age.

Cortwell-MC Cream is used to treat eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked and rough skin patches), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy red patches covered with white scales), dermatoses (lesions or eruptions of the skin) and fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and jock itch.
Cortwell-MC Cream consists of Mometasone furoate and Clotrimazole. Mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid, works by blocking prostaglandin production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that interferes with fungal growth by damaging and leaking from the fungal cell membrane. Together, they help in treating skin infections.
Cortwell-MC Cream is for topical (for skin) use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with Cortwell-MC Cream unless the doctor advised. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not apply it on open wounds, lesions and blisters.
Please consult your doctor before using Cortwell-MC Cream for conditions like viral skin infections, diaper rash, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataract and glaucoma, heart, liver, and kidney diseases. Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Cortwell-MC Cream or any of its components.
Cortwell-MC Cream is not recommended to use for diaper rash. Your baby's doctor may suggest other medications to treat diaper rash.
Cortwell-MC Cream, when used for longer periods, can cause thinning and weakening of the skin. Please stop using Cortwell-MC Cream and immediately consult your doctor if you notice these symptoms.
Please do not stop using Cortwell-MC Cream on your own even if the symptoms are relieved until your full course advised by the doctor is finished.
The side effects of Cortwell-MC Cream include dryness, itching, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and tend to resolve on their own over time. However, consult the doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.
Yes, you can use Cortwell-MC Cream on your feet. It treats fungal skin infections, including athlete's foot (a fungal infection that causes itching, redness, and peeling between the toes) and ringworm (a fungal infection that can affect various parts of the body, including the feet).
Cortwell-MC Cream is not recommended for use on nails and scalp unless prescribed by the doctor, as it may not effectively treat fungal infections in these areas. It is used to treat fungal skin infections that can affect areas like the feet (athlete's foot), groin (jock itch), skin folds, face, arms, and legs.
Yes, Cortwell-MC Cream may cause thinning and skin weakening as a side effect, if taken for a long time. This is due to the presence of a corticosteroid (mometasone furoate). Therefore, always follow the dose and duration prescribed by the doctor to minimise adverse effects and to get full benefits.
