Cremagel-L Gel is used to treat anal fissures, haemorrhoids, and other related rectal or anal discomforts. An anal fissure is an incision in the anus or anal canal lining. The sign of an anal fissure is pain during or after a bowel movement. It contains Lidocaine and diltiazem. Lidocaine relieves pain by temporarily numbing the skin or the area where it is applied. Diltiazem works by relaxing the muscle around the anus (anal sphincter), reducing anal pressure, and increasing blood flow to the area for healing. This medicine may sometimes cause side effects such as application site reactions (burning sensation, itching), headache, nausea, lightheadedness, or dizziness.
