Damoxy Tablet is used in the treatment of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. The detailed uses of Damoxy Tablet are as follows:

• Nausea and Vomiting relief: Damoxy Tablet helps to relieve nausea and vomiting, especially during early pregnancy.
• Motion sickness prevention: Damoxy Tablet prevents motion sickness symptoms like nausea and vomiting, making it helpful for travellers, especially during pregnancy.
• Post-operative nausea control: Damoxy Tablet is sometimes used to manage post-operative nausea and vomiting, providing relief after surgery.
• Improves vitamin B6 deficiency: Damoxy Tablet helps to address Vitamin B6 deficiency and alleviates nausea and vomiting, particularly benefiting pregnant women.

Damoxy Tablet is a combination of two drugs, Doxylamine and Pyridoxine (vitamin B6), used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It prevents the feeling of nausea and sickness in pregnant women. Besides this, it also provides nutrition to the body. Doxylamine belongs to the class of antihistamines that works by blocking the natural chemical (histamine) in the body, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting. Pyridoxine/Vitamin B6 deficiency may cause nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Pyridoxine works by increasing the level of vitamin B6 in the body and treating nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

• Damoxy Tablet can be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
• It is usually taken once daily at bedtime. However, your doctor may recommend taking it 2-3 times daily based on the severity of your symptoms.
• Swallow Damoxy Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not break, chew, or crush it.

• Take a healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables, lean meats, skinless poultry, nuts, fish, whole grains, plant-based oils, and low-fat dairy products.
• One should avoid taking greasy or oily foods as they trigger nausea and vomiting.
• Eat cool foods instead of hot and spicy foods.
• Include clear broths, non-fat yoghurt, fruit juice, sherbet and sports drinks for fluid make up which has been lost due to vomiting.
• Include more cool beverages in your food like clear soup, and flavoured gelatin. Also, when you drink with a straw, sip slowly to avoid swallowing air, it may lead to gas and acidity.
• Consume liquids at least 30 minutes after eating food.

Do not take Damoxy Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Tell your doctor if you have asthma, increased eye pressure, narrow-angle glaucoma, stomach ulcer, a blockage in your gut (digestive tract), liver or kidney problems. Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines for depression, cough or cold medicines, sleeping medicines, or certain pain medicines. Damoxy Tablet should not be taken by breastfeeding mothers as it passes into breast milk. Damoxy Tablet should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Damoxy Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness.
