Depogen 150mg Injection is used as a long-acting contraceptive. It is also used in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the uterine or womb lining) in women who take conjugated estrogen.
Depogen 150mg Injection contains medroxyprogesterone acetate, which prevents an egg from fully maturing and being discharged from the ovaries. If an egg is not released, it cannot be fertilised by sperm and result in pregnancy.
