Divalex OD 1000 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy (seizures/fits). Epilepsy is a sudden rush of electricity in the brain. In epilepsy, the brain's electrical rhythms become imbalanced, resulting in recurrent seizures.

Divalex OD 1000 Tablet contains 'Divalproex sodium', which raises a brain chemical called GABA. This calms the brain, lowers abnormal activity, and helps stop seizures.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, back pain, increased appetite, constipation, diarrhoea, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of its contents, have liver problems, or urea cycle disorders. Avoid taking Divalex OD 1000 Tablet if you are pregnant, as it may cause severe birth defects. Consult your doctor before using Divalex OD 1000 Tablet if you are breastfeeding. • Partial seizures: It is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat complex partial seizures (which affect only one side of the brain and cause impaired consciousness), whether they occur alone or alongside other types of seizures.
• Simple and complex absence seizures: It may also be used alone or with other medications to treat both simple and complex absence seizures (which cause a brief loss and return of consciousness for a few seconds).

• Divalex OD 1000 Tablet can be taken with or without food, or as advised by the doctor.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided with the pack.
• Replace the bottle cap tightly after each use.
• Avoid using regular household spoons, as they may not accurately measure the dose.
• Your doctor may adjust the dose and frequency of this medication based on your medical condition.

• Divalex OD 1000 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called anticonvulsants or antiepileptics, primarily used to treat epilepsy (seizures or fits).
• It increases the levels of a natural chemical (GABA) in the brain, which helps reduce excessive and abnormal nerve activity in the brain, thereby helping to control seizures.
• Divalex OD 1000 Tablet is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat complex partial seizures, whether they occur alone or alongside other types of seizures.

• Do not take Divalex OD 1000 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents, have significant liver disease or dysfunction, or have urea cycle disorders.
• Inform your doctor before taking Divalex OD 1000 Tablet if you have pancreatitis, blood problems, or multi-organ hypersensitivity.
• Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies while taking Divalex OD 1000 Tablet .
• Divalex OD 1000 Tablet may cause thrombocytopenia (low blood platelets), hyperammonemia (high levels of ammonia in the blood), hypothermia (low body temperature), and liver problems.
• Please do not stop taking Divalex OD 1000 Tablet without consulting your doctor to avoid worsening of seizures.
