Your doctor may prescribe Doxific Injection to help manage the following conditions:

• Skin and soft tissue infections: It halts the spread of bacteria in deep skin layers, reducing swelling, redness, and pain.
• Intra-abdominal infections: When combined with other treatments, it helps resolve complex bacterial infections inside the abdomen.

• Protect your skin from the sun: This medicine can make your skin highly sensitive to sunlight. Wear protective clothing and apply a high-SPF sunscreen when outdoors, and avoid tanning beds.
• Stay well-hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids (unless advised otherwise by your doctor) to help your body process the medication and support recovery.
• Support your gut health: Consider eating yoghurt or taking a probiotic supplement after completing your antibiotic course to help restore the healthy bacteria in your gut. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.
• Inform your healthcare team about other IV fluids: If you are receiving calcium-containing solutions intravenously, tell your healthcare provider, as they should not be mixed in the same IV line as Doxific Injection.

• Inspect the solution: Before giving the medicine, ensure the healthcare professional inspects the liquid. It should be clear and free of particles or discolouration.
• Monitor the injection site: Pay close attention to the area around your IV line. If you experience burning, redness, or swelling, alert your healthcare provider immediately to prevent tissue irritation.
• Complete the full course: Even if your symptoms disappear after a few doses, finish the entire prescribed treatment to ensure the infection is completely cleared and to prevent bacterial resistance.
• Check for pregnancy: This medicine is generally not recommended during pregnancy because it may affect the developing baby's teeth and bones. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, tell your doctor before starting treatment.
• Do not share equipment: If you are receiving this treatment at home under professional supervision, ensure all needles and IV supplies are sterile and disposed of in a proper sharps container.
