Dsorolen 5mg Tablet is used along with ultraviolet light for the treatment of vitiligo. It is also used to treat psoriasis (a skin condition). Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the skin loses colour (melanocytes) and results in discoloured patches in different areas of the body, including the skin, hair, and mucous membranes.
Dsorolen 5mg Tablet contains trioxsalen, which works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps to repigment the discoloured and white patches.
Dsorolen 5mg Tablet may cause common side effects such as erythema (skin redness), blisters, oedema (swelling), and itching. These side effects resolve on their own. However, if it persists, stop using Dsorolen 5mg Tablet and consult your physician.
Dsorolen 5mg Tablet should not be taken if you are allergic to it. Inform to your physician if you are pregnant/breastfeeding.
