E-Dox Tablet is a combination medicine used to manage inflammatory bowel diseases such as colitis. It may also be used to treat bacterial infections. Colitis is the inflammation of the mucosal lining of the colon/large intestine, generally caused by infections.
E-Dox Tablet contains Doxycycline and Saccharomyces boulardii. Doxycycline inhibits bacterial growth and has anti-inflammatory effects. Saccharomyces boulardii prevents the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines and stomach.

Do not take E-Dox Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, asthma, sulfite allergy, seizures, blood clotting problems, or increased pressure in the skull. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Doxycycline during tooth development (last half of pregnancy, infancy and childhood up to 8 years) may cause permanent discolouration of teeth (yellow, grey, brown). Doxycycline should not be used in these age groups unless other medicines are contraindicated. Let the doctor know if you take other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.
