About Eclospan Cream

Eclospan Cream is a combination medicine used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections. It may also be indicated in eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and nail infections. Bacterial skin infection occurs when bacteria enter the body through broken skin. Fungal skin infection is a disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection.

Eclospan Cream contains Beclomethasone (a steroid), Miconazole (an antifungal), and Neomycin (an antibiotic). Miconazole prevents the formation of a fungal protective covering and stops fungal growth. Beclomethasone inhibits the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Neomycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and kills bacteria. Together, Eclospan Cream helps treat skin infections.

In some cases, Eclospan Cream may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, irritation, and itching at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Eclospan Cream in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration. What if I have taken an overdose of Eclospan Cream

Do not apply Eclospan Cream in large amounts or use it for a long time than recommended, as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects. Accidental oral ingestion could be harmful, seek immediate medical advice form the doctor.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Eclospan Cream if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform your doctor if you have/had acne, rosacea (small, red, pus-filled bumps on the face), perioral dermatitis (inflammation of the skin around the mouth), genital or perianal pruritus, herpes simplex, vaccinia, varicella, kidney or liver disease. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid wrapping or covering the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor.
