EMCORT-CF CREAM is a topical combination cream used to treat certain skin infections caused by both fungi and bacteria when they are accompanied by redness, swelling, and itching. It combines an antifungal medicine, an antibiotic, and a corticosteroid to treat the infection while reducing inflammation and discomfort. Doctors usually prescribe this combination when both infection and inflammation need to be treated together, instead of using separate medicines. Because it contains a corticosteroid, it should only be used for the condition, amount, and duration recommended by your doctor.
For the best results, apply EMCORT-CF CREAM consistently and exactly as directed by your doctor. Ensure the affected skin is clean and completely dry before application, and try to use the cream at the same time each day. Wearing loose-fitting clothing, keeping the area cool and dry, and avoiding scratching can help your skin heal faster.
Most people tolerate this cream well, although mild burning, stinging, dryness, or redness at the application site may occur when treatment begins. These effects are usually temporary. Stop using the cream and seek medical advice immediately if you notice severe skin thinning, spreading redness, worsening pain, pus, or signs of an allergic reaction such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
Do not use this cream if you have viral skin infections such as chickenpox, shingles, or cold sores, or if you have tuberculosis of the skin. It is also not suitable for treating acne or rosacea because the steroid component may worsen these conditions. Tell your doctor about your complete medical history before starting treatment.
Inform your doctor about any other creams, ointments, cosmetics, or skin treatments you are using to help avoid unwanted interactions. Although alcohol does not directly affect this topical medicine, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can support skin healing. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medicine only if clearly prescribed by their doctor. In children, it is usually used only for short periods and under close medical supervision because children absorb topical steroids more easily than adults. Older adults should also use it carefully, especially on thin or fragile skin.

EMCORT-CF CREAM is used to treat skin infections, such as eczema (inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin patches), dermatitis, nasal polyps (painless growth on the lining of the nose or sinuses), impetigo (red sores on the face), psoriasis (skin cells multiply rapidly to form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales), ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, and dermatoses (lesions or eruptions of the skin).
EMCORT-CF CREAM consists of Mometasone, Fusidic acid, and Clotrimazole. Fusidic acid and Clotrimazole are antibiotics that act against various microorganisms like bacteria and fungi that invade the skin and cause infections. Mometasone, a corticosteroid, works by blocking prostaglandins production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy.
EMCORT-CF CREAM is for topical (for skin) use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with EMCORT-CF CREAM unless the doctor advises. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not apply EMCORT-CF CREAM on open wounds, lesions, and blisters.
Please consult your doctor before using EMCORT-CF CREAM if you have other viral skin infections, diaper rash, diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataract and glaucoma, heart, liver, and kidney diseases. Let your doctor know if your allergic to EMCORT-CF CREAM or any of its components.
No. This medicine is generally not recommended for diaper rash because the diaper can increase absorption of the steroid, raising the risk of side effects.
EMCORT-CF CREAM, when used for longer periods, can cause thinning and weakening of the skin. Please stop using EMCORT-CF CREAM and immediately consult your doctor if you notice these symptoms.
Please do not stop taking EMCORT-CF CREAM on your own even if the symptoms are relieved until your full course advised by the doctor is finished.
Clean and dry the affected area. With clean and dry hands, apply a thin layer of EMCORT-CF CREAM to the skin's affected areas. You can use a clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Wash your hands before and after using EMCORT-CF CREAM on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.
The side effects of applying EMCORT-CF CREAM are itching, irritation, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, please consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.
If you forget to apply the EMCORT-CF CREAM, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not apply extra cream to compensate for the missed dose, which can increase the risk of side effects.
Do not use EMCORT-CF CREAM if you are allergic to it or have specific underlying medical conditions. Please inform your doctor before starting EMCORT-CF CREAM if you have/had liver failure, diabetes, Cushing's disease (high cortisol levels), cataracts, and glaucoma. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should use EMCORT-CF CREAM with proper consultation and caution. To ensure your safety, inform your doctor of any medications you're currently taking, and they will help determine if EMCORT-CF CREAM is safe for you to use.
Yes, EMCORT-CF CREAM is safe to be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women if prescribed by the doctor.
You should avoid applying EMCORT-CF CREAM to your face unless your doctor specifically instructs you to do so, as facial skin is thinner and absorbs topical steroids more easily, increasing the risk of side effects such as skin thinning and visible blood vessels if used for too long.
Rinse your eyes immediately and thoroughly with large amounts of cool, clean water. If you experience persistent irritation, redness, or changes in your vision, contact your doctor right away.
Do not cover the treated skin with airtight bandages, dressings, or plastic wrap unless explicitly advised by your doctor. Covering the area can increase the absorption of the active ingredients, which may lead to unwanted side effects. Talk to your doctor for specific instructions.
Many people notice improvement in itching and redness within a few days. Continue using the cream for the full prescribed course unless your doctor advises you to stop. If your symptoms have not improved after about 7 days, become worse, or new symptoms appear, stop using the cream and contact your doctor for reassessment.
No. This cream should not be used on viral skin infections because the steroid can make these infections worse.
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and return to your routine. Do not apply extra cream to make up for a missed dose. Talk to your pharmacist if you are unsure.
Yes, but leave at least 30 minutes between applying this medicine and other skin products so the cream has enough time to be absorbed properly.
