Eplerenone 25mg Tablet is used to treat your heart failure. It reduces the risk of death or the need for hospitalisation due to heart failure. Besides this, Eplerenone 25mg Tablet is also used to treat high blood pressure.

Eplerenone 25mg Tablet contains Eplerenone, which works by blocking the action of aldosterone, a natural substance that raises blood pressure. It also slows the progression of heart failure by reducing heart damage.

In some cases, Eplerenone 25mg Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhoea, and elevated potassium levels. Most of these side effects of Eplerenone 25mg Tablet do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

What if I have taken an overdose of Eplerenone 25mg Tablet

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Eplerenone 25mg Tablet as it may cause an overdose. Symptoms of overdose include dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, stomach upset, tingling in arms and legs, weakness, lack of energy, loss of muscle tone, irregular or slow heartbeat, and cold/grey skin. If you experience any of these symptoms or suspect you have taken an overdose, please consult a doctor immediately.

  • Do not take Eplerenone 25mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components, have severe liver or kidney disease, or high levels of potassium.
  • Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, fungal infection, depression, HIV infection, bacterial infection or if you are taking immunosuppressants, or lithium (used to treat manic disorders).
