I have had gas problems for a long time, with symptoms like sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, and weakness. I am currently taking Esoga-RD Capsule as prescribed for 6 months and feeling better. Is this treatment appropriate?

Long-standing gas, along with symptoms like nausea, heaviness, and a general feeling of weakness, is often related to excess acid or slow stomach movement, commonly seen in conditions like Gastritis or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. The Esoga-RD capsule works by reducing acid and improving stomach emptying, so it is a commonly used and appropriate treatment, especially since you are already feeling better. This medicine is generally taken once daily before food, as advised by your doctor. However, taking them for several months should be reviewed periodically, as long-term use may not be needed for everyone. Along with medicines, simple habits like eating on time, avoiding spicy and oily foods, limiting tea/coffee, managing stress, and not lying down immediately after meals can make a big difference. You should consult your doctor again if symptoms return, worsen, or if you develop issues like persistent vomiting, weight loss, or severe weakness, so that your treatment can be adjusted or further tests can be done if needed.
