Esosure Capsule belongs to the class of drugs known as Proton pump inhibitors, which reduce the amount of acid your stomach produces. It treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (overproduction of acid due to a pancreatic tumour), duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, and Crohn’s disease-associated ulcers.

Esosure Capsule is a combination of Esomeprazole and Domperidone that helps reduce stomach acid by blocking the action of an enzyme (H+/K+ ATPase, also known as the gastric proton pump), thus preventing the release of stomach acid and relieving symptoms of food pipe lining inflammation (esophagitis), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or heartburn.

Not everyone who is taking Esosure Capsule will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as dry mouth, stomach pain, diarrhoea, headache, and flatulence. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve over time. However, if you experience these side effects persistently, talk to your doctor.

Take Esosure Capsule as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You should take Esosure Capsule 30 minutes before food. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose of Esosure Capsule . Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine.

Inform your physician if you are allergic to Esosure Capsule . Consult your doctor before taking Esosure Capsule if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Esosure Capsule may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Esosure Capsule should not be given to children as safety has not been established. • Management of Erosive Esophagitis: Esosure Capsule heals oesophagal damage brought on by acid reflux by treating erosive esophagitis.

• Take Esosure Capsule an hour before your meal, ideally in the morning or as advised by a doctor.

• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Avoid taking Esosure Capsule if you are allergic to Esosure Capsule or have any history of gastric cancer, liver disease, low magnesium levels, or low vitamin B1.
• Inform your doctor before taking Esosure Capsule if you have severe kidney, heart or liver disease, or if you are due to have Chromogranin A blood test; if you have fungal infections, heart problems or HIV infection.
• Talk to your doctor if you experience weight loss, problems with swallowing, stomach pain, indigestion, vomit food or blood, or if you pass black stools while taking Esosure Capsule .
• On long-term treatment, Esosure Capsule may cause low magnesium levels, vitamin B12 levels, and might increase the risk of bone fractures; the doctor may advise regular tests for monitoring your condition.

• Esosure Capsule may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert.
• Avoid caffeine-containing beverages (coffee, tea), spicy/deep-fried/processed foods, carbonated drinks, and acidic foods like citrus fruits/vegetables (tomatoes).
• Esosure Capsule should not be given to children as safety has not been established.
• Avoid consuming alcohol along with Esosure Capsule as it could lead to increased drowsiness and can elevate the production of stomach acid.
• A prolonged intake of Esosure Capsule is linked with a greater risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, so if you develop diarrhoea that does not improve, immediately consult a doctor.
