About Ezapro-160 Tablet

Ezapro-160 Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as androgen receptor inhibitors. It is used to treat prostate cancer. Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific body part grow and reproduce uncontrollably. The cancerous cells can attack and destroy surrounding healthy tissue, including organs. Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that only occurs in men and affects the prostate gland, a tiny gland under the bladder that produces semen.

Ezapro-160 Tablet contains Enzalutamide, an androgen receptor blocker (inhibitor). Enzalutamide blocks testosterone from reaching prostate cancer cells. Most prostate cancers require testosterone to grow. This can slow the growth of the cancer and may shrink it.

Use this medicine as directed by your doctor. You may sometimes experience trouble breathing (pneumonia), weakness or feeling more tired than usual, back pain, diarrhoea, pain in your joints, swelling (in your hands, arms, legs or feet), muscle or bone pain, muscle weakness, headache, cold-like symptoms, dizziness, high blood pressure and trouble falling or staying asleep (insomnia). Most of these side effects may gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

Enzalutamide is only for use in men. Men using this Ezapro-160 Tablet must use effective birth control whenever they have sex during your treatment and for three months after their final dose. In rare cases, Ezapro-160 Tablet may cause seizures, so tell your doctor if you have or have ever had seizures. Because of the risk of seizure associated with Ezapro-160 Tablet use, patients should be advised of the risk of engaging in any activity where sudden loss of consciousness could cause serious harm to themselves or others. Consumption of alcohol is strictly avoided.

Uses of Ezapro-160 Tablet

Ezapro-160 Tablet is used in the treatment of Prostate Cancer. The detailed uses of Ezapro-160 Tablet are as follows:<br/> • Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC): Ezapro-160 Tablet is used to treat prostate cancer that continues to progress despite low testosterone levels. It is typically prescribed when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body and no longer responds to hormone therapy.<br/> • Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC): Ezapro-160 Tablet is used in patients whose prostate cancer has not yet spread but is no longer responding to medical or surgical treatments that lower testosterone.<br/> • Hormone-sensitive metastatic prostate cancer: Ezapro-160 Tablet is used in combination with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) to treat prostate cancer that has spread but still responds to hormone-lowering treatments.<br/>

Directions for Use

  • Ezapro-160 Tablet can be taken with or without food or as advised by your doctor.

Side effects of Ezapro-160 Tablet
  • Wear compression garments like stockings, sleeves, or gloves to apply pressure and help stop fluid from building up, especially after the swelling goes down.
  • Move around and do exercises to help the fluid circulate, especially in swollen limbs. Ask your doctor for specific exercises.
  • Raise the swollen area above your heart level several times a day, even while sleeping, to help reduce swelling.
  • Gently massage the swollen area with firm but not painful pressure.
  • Keep the swollen area clean and moisturized to prevent injury and infection.
  • Reduce salt intake to help prevent fluid from building up and worsening the swelling, as advised by a doctor.
  • If the swelling does not get better after a few days of home treatment or worsens, consult your doctor right away.
