Facitinib Gel is primarily used to treat alopecia areata (hair loss). Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any hair-bearing site on the body.
Facitinib Gel contains Tofacitinib, which affects hematopoiesis and immune cell activity by transmitting signals resulting from cytokine or growth factor-receptor interactions on the cellular membrane.
Facitinib Gel may cause certain side effects such as excessive hair growth, headache, skin irritation, itching, rashes, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. If you experience any other symptoms that may be due to Facitinib Gel, please consult your doctor or pharmacist for further advice.

Facitinib Gel is for topical use only and not other parts. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with Facitinib Gel. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not blow-dry your scalp after using Facitinib Gel. Do not apply the topical form of Facitinib Gel on shaved, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp skin.
