Fumac Cream belongs to the class of 'non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs' primarily used to relieve pain and inflammation in the joints (arthralgia) and muscles. Fumac Cream is also used to relieve pain in ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Ankylosing spondylitis is a type of arthritis that affects the spine and large joints.

Fumac Cream consists of Felbinac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (pain killer/NSAID) that relieves pain. It inhibits cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes and further prevents the formation of chemical messengers, 'prostaglandins' (PGs), that cause pain and swelling at the injured or damaged site. 

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on the severity of your pain. Common side effects of Fumac Cream include burning sensation at the site, redness, itching, numbness, irritation, tingling, prickling, and skin rash. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. However, if the side effects are persistent, please reach out to your doctor.

Fumac Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, lips and mouth, nose, and any damaged skin. Before starting Fumac Cream, inform your doctor if you have any liver, heart, or kidney diseases, eczema, asthma, and allergic reactions to medicines. If you are using other NSAIDs, please inform your doctor in advance. Fumac Cream should be used with caution and only if necessary in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Fumac Cream is not recommended for children. It is better to avoid consuming alcohol while using Fumac Cream.

• Treats Joint Pain (Arthralgia): Fumac Cream is used to reduce pain and swelling in joints due to conditions like osteoarthritis or other musculoskeletal disorders.
• Manages Inflammation in Musculoskeletal Disorders: Fumac Cream helps reduce swelling, redness, and tenderness in conditions involving the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
• Manages Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS): Fumac Cream helps reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness in the spine and large joints associated with AS.
• Reduces Pain from Soft Tissue Injuries: Fumac Cream is effective in relieving pain and inflammation caused by conditions such as sprains, strains, sports injuries, or tendonitis.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Apply a thin layer of Fumac Cream to the affected skin area with clean, dry hands or a cotton wool/gauze swab. Gently rub it in.
• Wash your hands after using Fumac Cream unless your hands are the affected area.

Fumac Cream is used to relieve pain in the joints and muscles caused by injury or inflammation. It contains Felbinac that is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) and relieves pain. These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the COX enzyme's effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Fumac Cream is also used as a coupling agent (a medium that acts as a bond between the skin and the ultrasound transducer) in ultrasound therapy.
