Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml belongs to the class of antifungals primarily used to treat fungal eye and ear infections. Fungal infections of the eye and ear refer to conditions where fungi overgrow and infect the tissues of the eye (such as the cornea or conjunctiva) or ear (such as the outer ear canal), leading to inflammation, discomfort and potentially serious complications if left untreated.

Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml contains Fluconazole, which kills the fungus/yeast and prevents its growth by inhibiting the fungal cell membrane formation. Thus, it treats fungal infections.

Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml should be used as your doctor has advised. It is an external preparation intended for use in the eyes and ears. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects, such as eye/ear burning sensation, ear pain, irritation during administration, and blurred vision. Most of these side effects of Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually subside over time. However, if the side effects persist, contact your doctor.

Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml contains benzalkonium as a preservative, so it may cause eye irritation, especially if you have dry eyes or disorders of the cornea (the transparent layer at the front of the eye).   • Ear drops: Instil 2-3 drops into the ear canal; do not touch the tip of the dropper. Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor if you are not sure.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye to prevent contamination.
  • When not in use, keep the bottle tightly closed and upright.

What if I have taken an overdose of Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml

For Ear(s): If you accidentally put too much Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml in your ear(s), immediately rinse your ear(s) with warm water. If you think that you or someone else has swallowed any or all of the contents of Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml, or used too many drops, immediately call your doctor for advice or go to your nearest hospital. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
For Eye(s): Due to low expected systemic passage of Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml, overdose is not likely. However, the risk of overdose cannot be excluded. In case of overdose, rinse with water or 0.9% normal saline solution. Call your doctor or get medical care.

  • To naturally renew your eyes, get at least six to eight hours of sleep each night.
  • You should wash your eyes with clean water at least twice or thrice daily. If you have had eye surgery, wait at least two weeks before washing your eyes.
  • Take care of your health, eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and rest well.
  • Regularly wash your hands. Keep unclean hands away from your eyes.
  • Do not rub your eyes.
  • Eyeliner, mascara, and kohl should not be shared.

  • Avoid consuming foods that you are allergic to,, as this can cause the body to produce excessive mucus, which can result in inflammation.
  • Avoid getting shampoo, soap, and water in the ear because they can cause itching.
  • Poking or scratching the ear can cause damage to the ear canal, resulting in inflammation.
  • Quit or limit the intake of caffeine and alcohol.

Before using Fungary 0.3% Eye/Ear Drop 5 ml, inform your doctor if you have vision problems, severe eye pain, glaucoma (high blood pressure), eye damage, eye surgery, hearing problems (cytotoxicity), or a perforated eardrum and chronic otitis media. Notify the doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if the infection symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of treatment.
