Ganaton 50 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of disorders associated with reduced gastrointestinal motility. Besides this, Ganaton 50 mg Tablet also treats gastrointestinal disorders like dyspepsia (indigestion), bloating (feeling of stomach tightness due to gas), upper abdominal pain, anorexia (eating disorder), heartburn, nausea and vomiting.

Ganaton 50 mg Tablet contains 'Itopride,' which works by increasing the level of acetylcholine concentration, which in turn increases the gastrointestinal peristalsis movement, thereby accelerating gastric emptying time and easing the movement of food through the entire gastrointestinal tract.

In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, dry mouth or drowsiness. Most of these side effects of Ganaton 50 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Ganaton 50 mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ganaton 50 mg Tablet is not recommended for children below 16 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Ganaton 50 mg Tablet . • Treatment of Functional Dyspepsia: Ganaton 50 mg Tablet is frequently used to alleviate functional dyspepsia symptoms such as pain, bloating, and nausea.
• Management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Ganaton 50 mg Tablet aids in the treatment of GERD, such as heartburn and acid ingestion, by increasing stomach motility and decreasing the frequency of reflux events.
• Relief from Nausea and Vomiting: Ganaton 50 mg Tablet significantly reduces nausea and vomiting caused by gastroenteritis and chemotherapy, thereby regulating digestive function.
• Postoperative Gastric Motility Disorders: Ganaton 50 mg Tablet can also be used to treat patients who have delayed gastric emptying following surgery.
• Gastroparesis Management: Ganaton 50 mg Tablet can be prescribed to treat gastroparesis by improving gastric motility in patients with weak stomach muscles.

• Take Ganaton 50 mg Tablet on an empty stomach, preferably 1 hour before food or as advised by the doctor.
• It is advised to take Ganaton 50 mg Tablet three times daily; however, follow your doctor’s recommendation regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow Ganaton 50 mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Avoid taking Ganaton 50 mg Tablet if you are allergic to it or any other components present in it.
• Patients with reduced kidney or liver functions should be monitored carefully, and the dose should be adjusted accordingly.
• Ganaton 50 mg Tablet may be excreted in breast milk. Therefore, breastfeeding or pregnant women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Ganaton 50 mg Tablet .
