Gilac Capsule is used in the treatment and prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD), prevention of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, acute infectious diarrhoea and nosocomial diarrhoea in children. Additionally, it is used as an adjuvant therapy for children diarrhoea, acute diarrhoea in adults, Clostridium difficile associated diarrhoea, eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection, inflammatory diseases (Inflammatory bowel disease, Inflammatory bowel syndrome), hepatic encephalopathy (loss of brain function due to severe liver disease) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. 

Gilac Capsule is a unique probiotic combination of multi-species bacteria and yeast. Bacillus mesentericus inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria and selectively stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria. Clostridium butyricum interferes with the growth of pathogenic bacteria like Clostridium difficile. Lactobacillus sporogenes help maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the intestine, thereby improving the gastrointestinal ecology.
