HIFLOX EYE DROPS

HIFLOX EYE DROPS is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid. 

HIFLOX EYE DROPS contains Ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) that is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, it kills bacteria and clears infection.

Use HIFLOX EYE DROPS as prescribed by your doctor. HIFLOX EYE DROPS is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use HIFLOX EYE DROPS for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. Most of these side effects of HIFLOX EYE DROPS do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to HIFLOX EYE DROPS or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. HIFLOX EYE DROPS should be used for children only in doses as advised by the doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using HIFLOX EYE DROPS. Drive only if your vision is clear, as HIFLOX EYE DROPS may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after use. You are advised to remove soft contact lenses before using HIFLOX EYE DROPS.

• Bacterial eye infections: HIFLOX EYE DROPS is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye such as conjunctivitis caused by bacteria.
• Corneal Ulcers: HIFLOX EYE DROPS is also used to treat corneal ulcers, especially those caused by bacterial infections.
• Post-Surgical Infection Prevention: HIFLOX EYE DROPS may be used to prevent infection after certain eye surgeries like cataract surgery by controlling harmful bacteria in the eye.

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• HIFLOX EYE DROPS is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
• Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
