Oflokem Eye Drops is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Oflokem Eye Drops contains Ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) that is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, it kills bacteria and clears infection.
Use Oflokem Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. Oflokem Eye Drops is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Oflokem Eye Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. - Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
- Oflokem Eye Drops is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.

Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Oflokem Eye Drops and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using Oflokem Eye Drops. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Oflokem Eye Drops.
