About Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's
Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcer disease. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.
Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's is a combination of two drugs: Ilaprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Ilaprazole prevents proton pumps from working properly and reduces the amount of acid your stomach makes. Domperidone works by increasing the movement of food through the stomach and the digestive tract more quickly and, in this way, reduces the feeling of bloating, fullness and indigestion. It also blocks messages between parts of your brain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) and the vomiting centre. This stops you from feeling sick (nauseous) and prevents vomiting. Together, Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's helps treat acidity-related problems.
Take Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's as prescribed. You are advised to take Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, flatulence, dryness in the mouth, dizziness, and fatigue. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor before taking Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's if you have a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or intestinal obstruction. Do not take Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's if you have black, tarry bowel motions, blockage or tear in your intestines, a disorder known as phenylketonuria, or low potassium or magnesium level. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's should not be given to children below 12 years of age. Avoid consuming alcohol and Ilpa-DSR Capsule 10's as it could lead to increased drowsiness and elevate stomach acid production. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side effects.
