About Incid-MD Tablet 10's

Incid-MD Tablet 10's belongs to a class of drugs called anti-histamine or anti-allergic. It contains levocetirizine, Incid-MD Tablet 10's is an R-enantiomer of cetirizine primarily used to treat various kinds of allergies. An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements typically not harmful to your body. These foreign elements are known as ‘allergens.’ Allergic condition varies from person to person. Some might be allergic to certain foods and seasonal allergies like hay fever. At the same time, others might be allergic to pollen or pet dander.

Incid-MD Tablet 10's is known as a non-drowsy antihistamine. It's less likely to make you feel sleepy than some other antihistamines. However, some people still find it makes them feel quite sleepy, which is used to treat allergies as it blocks the effects of a chemical messenger known as histamine, which is naturally involved in allergic reactions. Incid-MD Tablet 10's is widely used to treat hay fever (an allergy caused by pollen or dust), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eye), eczema (dermatitis), hives (red, raised patches or dots), reactions to insect bites and stings and some food allergies.

You can take Incid-MD Tablet 10's with food or without food. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, bite, or break it. Your doctor will advise you how often you take your tablets based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience headaches, dry mouth, feeling sick, dizziness, stomach pain and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Incid-MD Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. You should not take Incid-MD Tablet 10's if you are allergic to Incid-MD Tablet 10's or any other medicines in the past, currently breast-feeding, or have severe kidney failure (creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min), the problem of urinary retention and fructose intolerance. You can take cetirizine while you're pregnant, talk to your doctor about the benefits and possible harms of taking cetirizine. It'll also depend on how many weeks pregnant you are and the reason you need to take cetirizine. It's best not to drink alcohol while you're taking cetirizine as it can make you feel sleepy. Cetirizine can also be taken under medical supervision by children aged 1 year and older. Check with your doctor if you are taking midodrine to treat low blood pressure and ritonavir or lopinavir for HIV infection. Leave about 2 hours between the times that you take Incid-MD Tablet 10's and your indigestion remedies containing aluminium or magnesium.

Uses of Incid-MD Tablet 10's

Common allergies, hay fever (an allergy caused by pollen or dust), conjunctivitis (red, itchy eye), eczema (dermatitis), hives (red, raised patches or dots), reactions to insect bites and stings and some food allergies.

Directions for Use

Take Incid-MD Tablet 10's with or without food, once a day, preferably in the evening or night as it may cause slight drowsiness. Take it twice a day only if your doctor has prescribed it to you.

Side Effects of Incid-MD Tablet 10's

Like other medications, Incid-MD Tablet 10's also has certain side effects, but it is not mandatory for anyone to experience them. In certain cases, you may experience feeling sleepy and tired, headaches, dry mouth, feeling sick (nausea), feeling dizzy, stomach pain, diarrhoea, sore throat, cold-like symptoms of the nose, itching or a rash, tingling in your hands and feet and feeling agitated. However, if the side effects are persistent or if you experience any other side effect continuously while taking Incid-MD Tablet 10's, reach out to your doctor.

In-Depth Precautions and Warning

Drug Warning

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Incid-MD Tablet 10's, consult your doctor. If you have kidney problems, dose adjustment might be required; the doctor will do it depending upon your disease's condition. Please inform your doctor if you have a problem passing urine and have epilepsy (fits) before starting Incid-MD Tablet 10's. If you are supposed to undergo skin testing, the doctor might advise you to stop taking Incid-MD Tablet 10's 72 hours before the test as it decreases response to skin prick test. Patients should be cautioned against getting engaged in the work which required too much mental alertness like operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle after intake of Incid-MD Tablet 10's. Concurrent use of Incid-MD Tablet 10's with alcohol or other antidepressants should be avoided as it can reduce your mental alertness. Cetirizine can also be taken under medical supervision by children aged 1 year and older. Patients should avoid taking overdosage of Incid-MD Tablet 10's because of the increased risk of sleepiness and drowsiness at higher doses.

  • Pregnancy

    Incid-MD Tablet 10's is pregnancy category B medicine so it can be used by the pregnant mother only if your doctor has prescribed it.

  • Breast Feeding

    Incid-MD Tablet 10's is known to pass on in a limited quantity via breast milk to the child. Incid-MD Tablet 10's should not be taken until prescribed. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

  • Driving

    Please drive with caution; Incid-MD Tablet 10's usually does not causes blurry vision, but it may affect driving ability in some.

  • Liver

    Only consume Incid-MD Tablet 10's, if your doctor has prescribed it.

  • Kidney

    Incid-MD Tablet 10's to be taken with caution, especially if you have a history of kidney disease. The dose may have to be adjusted by your doctor. Patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) with less than 10 mL/min creatinine clearance or patients undergoing hemodialysis should not take Incid-MD Tablet 10's.
