Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule is used in the treatment of Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated haematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), and mast cell leukaemia (MCL). The detailed uses of Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule are as follows:

• Treatment of FLT3-Mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML): Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule is used in combination with standard chemotherapy (cytarabine and daunorubicin) to treat newly diagnosed AML in adults who test positive for FLT3 mutations.
• Management of Advanced Systemic Mastocytosis (ASM): Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule helps reduce the proliferation of abnormal mast cells in patients with aggressive systemic mastocytosis, improving symptoms and slowing disease progression.
• Therapy for Mast Cell Leukemia (MCL) and SM-AHN: Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule is used for rare blood disorders like mast cell leukemia and systemic mastocytosis with associated hematologic neoplasm, targeting abnormal cell growth in bone marrow and blood.
• Tyrosine Kinase Inhibition Mechanism: Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule works by blocking multiple kinases, including FLT3, which are involved in cancer cell growth and survival, making it effective against certain hematologic malignancies.

Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule belongs to the group of medicines called protein kinase inhibitors used to treat acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in patients who are FLT3 mutation-positive. It is also used to treat aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM), systemic mastocytosis with associated haematological neoplasm (SM-AHN), or mast cell leukaemia (MCL). Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule contains Midostaurin, which works by blocking the action of kinase enzymes in abnormal cells and stops their division and growth. Thereby, it helps prevent the spread of cancer and mast cells.

• Recommended to take Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule with food to prevent stomach upset.
• Recommended to take twice daily or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly to maintain proper weight.

Do not take Inflitza 25 Softgel Capsule if you are allergic to any of its components, if you are taking medicines used to treat tuberculosis (rifampicin), epilepsy (carbamazepine or phenytoin), prostate cancer (enzalutamide), or herbal products (St. John’s Wort) or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have any infections, heart disorders, lung, kidney or liver diseases. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms of low white blood cell count (fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers), lung problems (fever, chest pain, cough with or without mucous, trouble breathing or shortness of breath), or heart problems (chest pain or discomfort, fainting, dizziness, light-headedness, shortness of breath, blue discolouration of your lips, hands or feet, or swelling of your lower limbs).
