Ocular hypertension is a condition in which the eye's pressure is higher than normal as a result of poor drainage of the aqueous humor (fluid inside the eye). Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the optic nerve is damaged due to abnormally high pressure inside the eye. If this condition is left untreated, it can lead to permanent vision loss.

Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml contains Pilocarpine and Timolol. Pilocarpine is a cholinergic agonist and works by draining the excess fluid from the eye, thereby reducing pressure. Timolol is a beta-blocker and works by decreasing the fluid production in the eye, thereby lowering the pressure in the eye. Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml should be used only in the infected eye, and contact with the normal eye should be avoided.

The common side-effects of Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml are burning or stinging sensation, itching, irritation, and pain at the application site, swelling in front of the eye, headache and brow ache, bleeding within the front of the eye, and detachment of the retina (the inner surface of the eye). Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml may temporarily cause vision loss, so do not drive or operate heavy machinery if you experience blurred vision.

• Reduces Intraocular Pressure: Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml helps to lower pressure inside the eye by both decreasing fluid production and enhancing fluid drainage.
• Treatment of Open-Angle Glaucoma: Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml is used to manage open-angle glaucoma by controlling eye pressure and preventing damage to the optic nerve.
• Manages Ocular Hypertension: Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml is also used in individuals with elevated eye pressure to reduce the risk of developing glaucoma and associated vision loss.

• Follow your doctor’s instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safe and effective use.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instill the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Iotim Plus Eye Drops 5 ml is for ophthalmic use only.
• Avoid touching the container tip to your eye or lids to prevent contamination.
