Jolltrin Capsule 100's is indicated for the treatment of Wilson’s disease in patients who cannot take penicillamine because of side effects. Wilson's disease is a genetic metabolic defect that causes excess copper to build up in the body.

Jolltrin Capsule 100's contains Trientine, a copper-chelating agent, which works by attaching to the copper and removing excess copper from the body via urine.

Jolltrin Capsule 100's should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals, and at least 1 hour apart from any other food or milk.

What if I have taken an overdose of Jolltrin Capsule 100's

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Jolltrin Capsule 100's may include hallucinations, seizures, confusion, unusually fast/slow heartbeat, unconsciousness, loss of coordination, slow/shallow breathing, fever, hot/dry/flushed skin, widened pupils, change in vision and change in the amount of urine. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Do not take Jolltrin Capsule 100's if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult the doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform the doctor if you have anaemia (low red blood cells), biliary cirrhosis (liver disease), or low iron levels. Seek medical attention if you notice symptoms of nervous system problems (shaking, lack of coordination, slurred speech, muscle stiffness and worsening of muscle spasms) or lupus-like reaction (persistent rash, fever, joint pain, and tiredness).
