Lanzop-30 Tablet belongs to a group of antiulcer medicines called 'proton pump inhibitors'. It is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also used to prevent and treat oesophageal ulcers.

Lanzop-30 Tablet contains 'Lansoprazole' that works by blocking the action of an enzyme known as the gastric proton pump responsible for acid production. This helps reduce heartburn and reflux symptoms and promotes ulcer healing.

Sometimes, Lanzop-30 Tablet may cause side effects such as headache, constipation, stomach upset, and stomach pain. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, seek medical advice if the side effects bother your child.

  • Peptic Ulcer Disease: Lanzop-30 Tablet is used to treat ulcers in the stomach or upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). It supports ulcer healing by reducing acid levels and protecting the stomach lining.
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Lanzop-30 Tablet may be prescribed in rare cases where the stomach produces excessive acid due to tumours. It helps control acid output and prevents complications like ulcers and bleeding.

Lanzop-30 Tablet may cause swelling and itchiness of the fingers and toes. Try applying an anti-itch cream or a moisturising cream. If the condition persists after two weeks, consult your doctor.

You are advised to maintain a gap of two hours between Lanzop-30 Tablet and indigestion medicines. However, please consult a doctor before giving indigestion/antacid medicines along with Lanzop-30 Tablet to the child.
