About Lichansa Ointment
Lichansa Ointment is a dermatological combination medication used to reduce swelling, itching and redness caused by certain fungal skin infections. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the skin tissue and causes infection. Fungal infections may be contagious (spread from one person to another).
Lichansa Ointment contains Boric acid, clotrimazole (antifungal), menthol, and zinc oxide. Clotrimazole belongs to the antifungal class that works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Borax and Zinc oxide are additive minerals that provide necessary nutrients, remove dead skin cells, and prevent microbes on the skin surface.
Lichansa Ointment is only for external use. Some people may experience dry skin, itching, irritation, redness or a burning sensation at the application site.
