Lioton Gel is used to prevent the formation of blood clots near the surface of the skin, dissolve existing clots, and relieve pain and inflammation by increasing blood flow, thereby accelerating the overall healing process. Blood clots are solid masses of blood that form when the body's clotting mechanism is activated. They can occur in veins or arteries and can be caused by injury, immobility, cancer, genetics, smoking, or obesity.
Lioton Gel contains heparin, which works by binding to antithrombin, an enzyme in the clotting system. This binding inhibits key clotting factors, including factor Xa and factor IIa, thereby preventing thrombin formation and prolonging blood clotting time, effectively managing clot formation.
It is only for external use. Use this medicine exactly as advised by your physician. The common side effects of Lioton Gel are skin rashes, redness, itching, burning sensation, and rough patches on the skin. These side effects are usually mild and do not require medical attention.
