Lufen Eye Drop 5ml

Lufen Eye Drop 5ml is used for the prevention of intraoperative miosis and the treatment of post-operative eye pain and inflammation. The detailed uses of Lufen Eye Drop 5ml are as follows:

• Prevents pupil constriction during surgery: Lufen Eye Drop 5ml helps maintain pupil dilation (prevents miosis) during eye surgeries like cataract procedures, ensuring better surgical visibility.
• Reduces post-operative eye pain: Lufen Eye Drop 5ml minimizes discomfort and pain that can occur after eye surgeries.
• Controls inflammation: Lufen Eye Drop 5ml helps decrease swelling and inflammation in the eye following surgical procedures, promoting smoother recovery.

Lufen Eye Drop 5ml contains Flurbiprofen which prevents the pupil of the eye from narrowing, thus making it easier for the eye examination to remove the cataract and replace a new lens by the doctor. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits prostaglandins and maintains intraoperative pupil dilation (widening). It further relieves pain and inflammation of the eye after surgery.

• Lufen Eye Drop 5ml is typically used 1-2 times a day, or as prescribed by your healthcare provider, based on the severity of the condition.
• Before using eye drops, wash your hands thoroughly. Then, tilt your head back, gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and drop the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye. Close your eye and gently press the corner of your eye near the nose for 1-2 minutes to prevent the drops from draining out.
• Avoid touching the dropper to any surface, including your eyes, to prevent contamination.

• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.
• Eat food rich in antioxidants such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, dark chocolate, etc.
• Know your allergy triggers, such as pollen, dust and other factors.
• Do not rub your eyes even though some ophthalmic drugs make your eye itchy.
• If you wear contact lenses: Clean and replace contact lenses more often. Never share contact lenses. Always wash your hands before inserting and removing the contact lens. 
• Avoid staring at digital screens for longer durations. Rest your eyes every 20 minutes.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.

If you have allergic reactions to medicines/NSAIDs (sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, or wheezing), asthma, viral eye infections, and bleeding and blood clotting problems, inform your doctor before starting Lufen Eye Drop 5ml. It is advised to check with your doctor before using Lufen Eye Drop 5ml if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid driving or operating machines until you have a clear vision since the administration of Lufen Eye Drop 5ml may cause temporary blurred vision for a while.
