MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT is used to treat alopecia (hair loss). MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body.

MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT contains Minoxidil, which widens the blood vessels and helps provide oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the hair follicles, thereby preventing hair cell death and promoting new hair growth.

Some common side effects of MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT include changes in the color/texture of the hair, excessive hair growth, headache, itching, skin irritation, dryness, shortness of breath, scaling of the skin, and redness. You may notice hair shedding during the initial 2-6 weeks of treatment, which is normal. Hair loss gradually stops after two weeks of treatment. If it persists for over two weeks, stop using MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT and consult your doctor.

Hair growth is a slow process, and it usually takes four months to see the best results of MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT.

MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT is for topical use only. Do not put a bandage or dressing on the affected area while treating with MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose or mouth, rinse with cold water. Do not blow-dry your scalp after using MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT. It is not required to wash your hair daily after applying MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT. But, make sure your hair is dry before applying MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT if you have washed your hair.

Do not use MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT for beard growth. MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT is recommended only for hair loss on the scalp.

Do not freeze MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT. Please keep it away from direct sunlight. If you are using foam, keep the foam canister away from open flame or high heat since it may explode. Do not puncture or burn an empty canister.

You are advised to use MANEXIL 2% GEL OINTMENT for as long as your doctor has told you. Using more than advised or more often will not increase effectiveness. Please follow your doctor's instructions.
