Mecorid-LC Tablet is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency. Mecorid-LC Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by to lack of vitamins, such as anaemia (lack of red blood cells), peripheral neuropathy (nerve disorder), seizures (fits), hyperoxaluria (excess oxalate levels in urine), homocystinuria (accumulation of an amino acid called homocysteine in urine and blood), cyanide poisoning and hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of homocysteine in the blood).
Mecorid-LC Tablet contains Folic acid, L-carnitine, and Methylcobalamin. These ingredients help your body make healthy blood cells, boost energy, and keep your heart, brain, nerves, and muscles working well. They are also helpful in treating certain vitamin deficiencies and keeping your body strong overall.
Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Mecorid-LC Tablet may cause common side effects like nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, drowsiness, flushing, and numbness/tingling. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time.

If you are known to be allergic to Mecorid-LC Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Vitamins are absorbed readily through oral administration. Excessive alcohol consumption reduces absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using Mecorid-LC Tablet .

Drug-Drug Interactions: Mecorid-LC Tablet may interact with anti-cancer drugs (altretamine, cisplatin, and arsenic trioxide), fits medicines (phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone), antibiotic (chloramphenicol), medicines treating Parkinson's disease (levodopa), drugs used to treat tumours (Fluorouracil), antibiotics (trimethoprim), stomach related drugs (sulfasalazine), and cholesterol-lowering drugs (cholestyramine).
