About Melamine Lotion
Melamine Lotion belongs to the class of 'anti-allergens'. Melamine Lotion is used in the treatment of allergic skin conditions. It is also used to treat itching, insect/sting bites, eczema, and other minor skin conditions.
Melamine Lotion is a combination of three medicines namely: calamine, diphenhydramine, and camphor. Calamine and camphor are two astringents whereas diphenhydramine is anti-allergic. The astringents work by imparting a cooling sensation on the skin to relieve minor skin irritation and the antiallergic works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby relieving symptoms of skin allergy.
Use Melamine Lotion exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Before you apply Melamine Lotion topical, wash the skin with soap and water. Allow the skin to dry completely. Apply Melamine Lotion directly to the skin and rub it gently, allowing it to dry on your skin. You may also use a cotton ball to smooth the medicine onto your skin.
