About MMS Cream

MMS Cream belongs to the class of medicines called ‘corticosteroids’ used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.

MMS Cream contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally.

Use MMS Cream as prescribed. You are advised to use MMS Cream for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition. MMS Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact of MMS Cream with nose, mouth, or eyes. In case MMS Cream comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Mometasone or other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using MMS Cream. MMS Cream is not recommended for children for long-term use as it may lead to slow growth. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice vision changes after using MMS Cream. Stop using MMS Cream and contact your doctor if your skin becomes sensitive or irritated. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Avoid using MMS Cream for more than five days in children and on the face. Avoid using MMS Cream in or around the eyes, including eyelids. Do not use MMS Cream on large areas of the body or for a longer duration.

Directions for Use

Cream/Ointment: It is only for external use. As advised by your doctor, take a small amount of cream/ointment on the fingertip and apply it as a thin layer on the clean and dry affected area. Avoid contact of cream/ointment with your nose, mouth or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. Wash your hands before and after using cream/ointment if your hands are not affected area. Lotion: Shake the bottle well. Apply it evenly to the affected area as advised by the doctor.

  • Use SPF 30 sun protection and protective clothing to prevent the skin from getting damaged by the sun.

  • Eat foods rich in vitamins C (lemon, orange) and E (almond, avocado) to protect skin cells from damage.
  • Consume plant and animal proteins for skin repair.
  • Drink lots of fluid or water for healthy skin.
  • Exercise regularly to improve muscle tone and skin elasticity.
  • Limit sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect skin against sun damage and preserve its elasticity.
  • Use hydrating moisturizers and retinoid-based products to improve skin suppleness and promote collagen production.
  • Mild hair follicle inflammation often heals on its own without needing treatment.
  • You can apply a warm saltwater or vinegar solution to the affected area with a washcloth, or use over-the-counter antibiotics, oatmeal lotion, or hydrocortisone cream for relief.
  • Avoid making the affected area worse by not shaving, scratching, or wearing tight clothes.
  • Apply a warm compress to the area 3-4 times a day for 15-20 minutes to help speed up healing.
  • Do not scratch, squeeze, or pop any bumps, as this may lead to infection or other problems.
  • If self-care methods fail, consult a doctor for further treatment and advice.

What if I have taken an overdose of MMS Cream

Do not apply MMS Cream in large amounts or use it for a long time than recommended, as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects.
