About Monosone Lotion

Monosone Lotion is used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness, and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.

Monosone Lotion contains Mometasone furoate, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, these substances are released normally.

Use Monosone Lotion as prescribed. You are advised to use Monosone Lotion for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition. Monosone Lotion is for external use only. Avoid contact with Monosone Lotion by nose, mouth, or eyes. In case Monosone Lotion comes in contact with these areas accidentally, rinse with water thoroughly. Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensations. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Mometasone furoate or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Monosone Lotion. Monosone Lotion is not recommended for long-term use by children as it may lead to slow growth. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice vision changes after using Monosone Lotion. Stop using Monosone Lotion and contact your doctor if your skin becomes sensitive or irritated. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Avoid using Monosone Lotion for more than five days in children and on the face. Avoid using Monosone Lotion in or around the eyes, including eyelids. Do not use Monosone Lotion on large areas of the body or for longer.
