About Montu-L Syrup

Montu-L Syrup is used to treat allergic conditions such as hay fever and asthma in children. It helps alleviate symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. An allergic reaction is a response that occurs when foreign particles enter the body.

Montu-L Syrup contains Montelukast and Levocetirizine. Montelukast blocks a chemical messenger called leukotriene, helping to reduce inflammation and swelling in the nose. Levocetirizine works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for allergic symptoms. Together, Montu-L Syrup provides relief from allergic conditions.

Sometimes, Montu-L Syrup may cause side effects such as abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, and fatigue. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician.

What if I have taken an overdose of Montu-L Syrup

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Montu-L Syrup may include headache, mental/mood changes (such as restlessness, agitation), restlessness or agitation, severe drowsiness, sleepiness, stomach pain, thirst, and vomiting. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.
