Neph-M Eye Drop belongs to the class of medication called ‘ophthalmic agents’ primarily used to treat allergic eye diseases, relieving ocular congestion, redness, dryness, and swelling. An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements typically not harmful to your body. Eye allergy occurs when the eye becomes red, swollen, and inflamed, causing dryness, discomfort, and pain.
Neph-M Eye Drop is a combination of four drugs, namely: Boric acid (antiseptic), Chlorpheniramine Maleate (antihistamine), Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (ophthalmic lubricant), and Naphazoline (decongestant). It contains boric acid that acts as an antiseptic to cleanse the eyes, while chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine, helps reduce itching and allergic reactions. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose works as a lubricant to keep the eyes hydrated, and naphazoline is a decongestant that reduces redness and swelling. Together, they relieve allergic symptoms, soothe irritation, and refresh tired eyes.
