Nosicold Tablet 10's

Nosicold Tablet 10's is used to treat the common cold and allergic symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, or itchy/watery nose and throat. The common cold is a respiratory illness affecting the nose and throat, caused mainly by viruses known as 'rhinovirus.' The virus attacks the body through the mouth, nose, or eyes and spreads quickly through droplets in the air when a person who is sick sneezes, coughs, or talks.

Nosicold Tablet 10's contains Chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine), Phenylephrine (a decongestant), Paracetamol (a mild analgesic and antipyretic), and Caffeine (a stimulant). Chlorpheniramine belongs to the class of antihistamines (anti-allergic drugs) that work by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Phenylephrine helps shrink the blood vessels in the nasal passage, reducing the stuffy nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (relieves pain) and antipyretic (reduces fever) that works by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers in the brain known as 'prostaglandins', responsible for pain and fever. Caffeine acts as a common stimulant, decreasing sleepiness caused by Chlorpheniramine and speeding up the action of all medicines in Nosicold Tablet 10's.

Your doctor will recommend how often you take Nosicold Tablet 10's based on your medical condition. Some people may experience drowsiness, sleepiness, nausea, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, and headaches. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult the doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy, or breastfeeding before starting Nosicold Tablet 10's. If you have high blood pressure (hypertension),  liver or kidney disease, or coronary artery disease (heart disease), avoid using Nosicold Tablet 10's as it may worsen your existing condition and symptoms. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided as it may lead to excessive drowsiness and sleepiness.

• Common Cold: Nosicold Tablet 10's helps relieve symptoms like blocked nose, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes and reduces nasal congestion and improves breathing.
• Sinusitis: Nosicold Tablet 10's alleviates sinus pain and pressure caused by inflammation, helps clear mucus buildup in the sinuses.
• Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever): Nosicold Tablet 10's treats seasonal allergies triggered by pollen, dust, or pet dander and reduces itchy nose, throat irritation, and sneezing.
• Upper Respiratory Tract Infections: Nosicold Tablet 10's provides relief from cough, sore throat, and chest congestion, helps manage mild fever and headaches associated with infections.
• Nasal Congestion Due to Allergies: Nosicold Tablet 10's shrinks swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages to improve airflow and eases breathing difficulties caused by allergic reactions.

• Nosicold Tablet 10's can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Swallow Nosicold Tablet 10's as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Nosicold Tablet 10's or any other medicines. If you are pregnant, it is advised to inform your doctor before using Nosicold Tablet 10's. Do not use Nosicold Tablet 10's in breastfeeding mothers without a doctor’s advice, as it contains caffeine, which may be excreted in breast milk and cause harm to the baby. Nosicold Tablet 10's is not recommended for children below 4 years. Please do not take more than the prescribed dose of Nosicold Tablet 10's as it may cause liver damage and can be lethal.  If you have high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), stomach ulcer, enlarged prostate gland,  kidney, liver, heart, or urinary problems, inform your doctor before taking Nosicold Tablet 10's. Do not take Nosicold Tablet 10's if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (antidepressant medication) in the past 14 days. Also, avoid the intake of chocolate, alcohol, and caffeine-containing beverages like coffee, as they may increase the severity of side effects. Do not take Nosicold Tablet 10's if you have taken any MAO inhibitor (anti-depressant medication like Isocarboxazid, Phenelzine, Selegiline, and Tranylcypromine) in the last 14 days. Cetirizine present in the Nosicold Tablet 10's can make you sleepy, so do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Nosicold Tablet 10's. Phenylephrine in Nosicold Tablet 10's should be used cautiously in patients with occlusive vascular disease (nerve/artery blockage), including Raynaud's phenomenon (decreased blood flow to the fingers).
