By enlarging your pupil, it allows your eye care specialist to get a clear, unobstructed view of the back of your eye.
This medication is typically used as a single application right before your eye examination or procedure. Because it is used on an as-needed basis in a clinical setting, you do not need to follow a regular daily schedule. There are no specific food restrictions when using these drops, but wearing dark sunglasses immediately after your appointment is highly recommended to protect your dilated eyes from bright light.
