Ovahb Tablet 10's is a health supplement used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. It is also used to treat iron-deficiency anaemia during pregnancy.
Ovahb Tablet 10's contains Folic acid, Ferric pyrophosphate and Glycine. Ferric pyrophosphate and folic acid work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. Glycine is used to synthesise proteins in the body.
In some cases, you may experience headaches, nausea, stomach upset or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Ovahb Tablet 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ovahb Tablet 10's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Consult a doctor before using Ovahb Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ovahb Tablet 10's should be used with caution in children and only if recommended by a doctor.

Ovahb Tablet 10's contains Ferric pyrophosphate, folic acid (a form of vitamin B9) and Glycine. Ferric pyrophosphate and folic acid work by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBC are produced in the body, so each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Glycine is an amino acid that is used to synthesise proteins in the body.
You are not recommended to take Ovahb Tablet 10's with coffee, tea or dairy products simultaneously as they may reduce the absorption of Ovahb Tablet 10's. However, you may drink coffee or tea 2 hours before or after taking Ovahb Tablet 10's.
You are not recommended to take Ovahb Tablet 10's with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Ovahb Tablet 10's in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Ovahb Tablet 10's with phenytoin.
Ovahb Tablet 10's is not recommended for hemochromatosis (excessive iron in the body) patients as it may increase the risk of adverse effects. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have any iron overload conditions before taking Ovahb Tablet 10's.
Iron in Ovahb Tablet 10's may turn the stools black. It is a common side effect of Ovahb Tablet 10's and is not harmful.
Ovahb Tablet 10's is a combination of three drugs, namely: Folic acid (a form of vitamin B9), Ferric pyrophosphate (iron supplement) and Glycine (amino acid).

Take Ovahb Tablet 10's on an empty stomach, usually 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals for better absorption or as advised by your doctor. Ovahb Tablet 10's should be swallowed as a whole with water; do not crush or chew it.
